The HSF Scholarship is a merit award designed to assist eligible students of Hispanic heritage obtain a university degree based on a specific set of academically focused criteria, with an emphasis on STEM majors.
Building Connections for the Future
Joe Gonzalez, TMNA Manager of Warranty Finance and Recovery, celebrates 25 years at Toyota this year, and he understands the importance of building connections.
Joe was one of six children and the first to attend college. To help support his education, Joe applied for and earned a Hispanic Scholarship Fund merit award sponsored by Toyota.
While earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Joe co-founded a Latino student networking group. Once graduated, he was hired at Toyota and was pleasantly surprised to see former members of his college community already employed at Toyota.
Together, they formed Toyota Organization for the Development of LatinOS (TODOS), a business partnering group that fosters a sense of “familia” both at Toyota and within local communities through mentoring and volunteer work.

Hispanics are predicted to reach 28% of the total US population by 2060 with buying power at approximately $1.7 trillion by 2020 alone. Toyota is proud to maintain a strong presence in this key market as the #1 brand among Hispanics for over a decade now.
