Michael Medalla, Manager of the Toyota USA Foundation, understands that change is intentional, “D+I doesn’t happen by accident or because we’re hopeful — it happens because people are intentional through systems and processes.”
Toyota USA Foundation is a $100 million charitable endowment committed to implementing change by supporting students and teachers through innovative programs focused in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Part of this commitment involves supporting organizations like the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE).
NAPE focuses on growing educators’ capacity to implement effective solutions for increasing student access, educational equity, and workforce diversity. Through a $350,000 grant from the Toyota USA Foundation, NAPE is creating promotional tools and outreach strategies for educators to use with students and parents at the K-12 and community college level.
By helping STEM students and educators, Toyota is helping cultivate the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.
